Tara Bonds

Tara serves as a Tour Guide and Frosh Camp Counselor for the U of M. She is the Membership Chair of the Black Student Association, Chair of the EBIN Hip-Hop Dance Team, Activity Chair of the Professional, Assertive, United Sisters of Excellence (P.A.U.S.E.) organization, Fundraising Chair of the NAACP Student Chapter, and the Senator-at-Large of the Student Government Association.

Deonte Copeland

Deonte serves as the Secretary of his Greek Fraternity, Senator for the College of Arts and Sciences in the Student Government Association, and is a Learning Assistant for the Psychology program. He is also a member of the University Honors Program, Tiger Elite student recruitment board, and a Resident Scholar Advisor. In his spare time, Deonte loves to read and write poetry.

Stephen Driscoll

Stephen is President of the Interfraternity Council and serves as a member of the Tiger Elite student recruitment board for the U of M. He is also a member of the Emerging Leader Scholarship Program. Stephen bleeds Tiger blue, loves being outside, and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Chris Fant
Major: Hospitality and Resort Management

Chris is the Chair of Education in the Empowered Men of Color and serves as a U of M Tour Guide. He is also a member of the Kemmons Wilson Society, the Memphis Lead Team, and Up ‘til Dawn. In his leisure time, Chris enjoys reading and long walks on the beach.

Abby Hagan
Major: Political Science

Abby has been very active on the U of M campus. She serves as the President of the Student Government Association, University Traditions Chair for the Student Activities Council, Vice President of Campus Relations for her Greek Sorority, and Moral Captain for Up ‘til Dawn. Abby is also in the University Honors Program and the Emerging Leaders Scholarship Program. She looks forward to being a Frosh Camp Counselor and your New Student Orientation Guide!

Cameron Hoffmeyer

Cameron is involved in his Greek Fraternity, the University Honors Program, Alumni Association, and Blue Crew. He loves Tiger basketball and enjoys spending time with his friends.

Samantha Murphy

Samantha is Vice President of Recruitment of her Greek Sorority, a member of Tiger Elite student recruitment board, a Frosh Camp Counselor, and a Resident Advisor.  She has served as a member of Up 'til Dawn Executive Board and as a Senator for the Student Government Association.  Samantha enjoys the beach, shopping, and spending time with her friends and family!

Kaitlin O’Malley

Hometown: Kansas City, Missouri

Kaitlin is transfer student from Kansas City, Mo. She is involved in Up ‘til Dawn, the Commuter Student Association, and serves as the Director of Finance for her Greek Sorority. In her spare time, Kaitlin likes to attend U of M events, spend time with her friends and family, and explore new things in the city of Memphis.

Kevin Park
Major: Hospitality and Resort Management

Hometown: Bartlett, Tennessee

Kevin serves as the University Traditions Chair of the Student Activities Council and is a member of the Emerging Leaders Scholarship Program, Up ‘til Dawn, and the Student Ambassador Board. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys driving with the windows down and the music up. He also loves spending time with friends and family.

Adalyia Parker
Major: Human Health and Performance
Classification: Junior
Hometown: Knoxville, Tennessee

Adalyia serves as a Senator for the College of Education in the Student Government Association and is a Resident Advisor.  She is a tutor in the U of M Educational Support Program’s Academic Enhancement Center and also tutors weekly at a local middle school. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, volunteering, reading, and hanging out with her friends.

Denise Parnell

Hometown: Memphis, Tennessee

Denise serves as Vice President of Communication for the Student Ambassador Board and is a Diamond Darling for the Tiger baseball team.  She is also involved in Up ‘til Dawn, the Residence Hall Association, and is a committee chairperson for Students Advocating Services. In her spare time, Denise enjoys attending Tigers games, traveling and doing community service.

Nick Scull
Major: Economics

Hometown: Little Rock, Arkansas

Nick is the 2nd Vice President of his Greek Fraternity. He is a returning Frosh Camp Counselor, a member of the Black Student Association, NAACP Student Chapter, Empowered Men of Color, FRESH Mentoring Program, and a volunteer with Big Brother/Big Sister. Some of his interests include watching movies, listening to music and writing, and meeting new people.

Ashley Shults

Ashley is Vice President of Recruitment of her Greek Sorority and serves as a Frosh Camp Counselor. She is also involved in the Student Activities Council, Up ‘til Dawn, and the University Honors Program. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys dancing in her car, drinking Mountain Dew, and being with her friends and family.

Chase Simpson
Major: Organizational Leadership

Chase is Vice President of his Greek Fraternity and serves as a Frosh Camp Counselor. He is also an advice member of the Student Activities Council and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. Up ‘til Dawn has been his most rewarding experience at the U of M.  In his spare time, Chase enjoys coaching and playing volleyball and playing ultimate Frisbee. He also volunteers at Ronald McDonald House.

Terrance Stevenson

Hometown: Little Rock, Arkansas

Terrance is a Senator in the Student Government Association. He also serves as the Chair of Community Service for the Black Student Association and as a Delegate to the Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature. He studies Chinese and hopes to take courses in International Studies in China one day.

Ronald Thompson

Ronald is a second year Orientation Guide and serves as a Frosh Camp Counselor. He is also Vice President of the Interfraternity Council and a member of a Greek Fraternity. In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering at the Madonna Learning Center and spending time with family and friends.

Lavinia Tribble

Lavinia is a Resident Advisor and serves as a Frosh Camp Counselor for the U of M. She is the founder of the Positioned for Purpose Mentorship Program in Nashville, TN. Lavinia is also a member of the NAACP Student Chapter and the INROADS Internship Program. In her spare time, Lavinia enjoys spending time with family, friends, and writing poetry.

Amy Webb
Major: Exercise and Sport Science

Amy is excited to be a returning Orientation Guide this summer. She is the President of her Greek Sorority and is a member of the Tiger Elite student recruitment board, Up ‘til Dawn, is a Financial Literacy Mentor. Amy enjoys playing intramurals, reading, and stepping.

Shannon Webb
Major: Criminology and Criminal Justice

Shannon is involved in the Emerging Leaders Scholarship Program and serves as the Philanthropy Chair for her Greek Sorority. She is a Student Ambassador, the Director of Social Relations for the All Greek Programming Board and the Health Committee Chair for Students Advocating Service. In her spare time, she volunteers for Friends for Life and works with a Daisy Girl Scout Troop.

Terez Wilson
Major: Sport and Leisure Studies

Hometown: Little Rock, Arkansas

Terez is excited to be returning as an Orientation Guide for 2008. He is President of the National Pan-Hellenic Council and is involved in his Greek Fraternity, the Student Government Association, the Black Student Association, Empowered Men of Color, and the NAACP Student Chapter. You may find Terez walking the sidelines of many home football and basketball games as Pouncer, the U of M mascot. Terez likes sports, video games, and life!
