Twelve two-day sessions are offered for freshmen during summer 2008:

NURSING MAJORS:  Students who have received provisional admission to the Loewenberg School of Nursing are strongly recommended to attend the June 5-6 session.

MUSIC AND MUSIC INDUSTRY MAJORS: If you are interested in majoring in music or music industry and you have already auditioned and/or attended Music Industry Orientation, we strongly recommend that you select from the following sessions: May 29-30, June 12-13, June 23-24, July 14-15, and July 28-29.  If you have not auditioned for the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music, please visit http://music.memphis.edu/admission.htm and contact the School of Music.

ADULT AND TRANSFER STUDENT OPEN HOUSE- JULY 22, 2008: All transfer students and adult, non-traditional freshmen students will receive a mailed invitation to this special session in late June.  You will learn about Adult and Commuter Student Services, the Center for Academic Transition, and campus resources.  This session will have the opportunity to meet U of M staff and interact with other new students.  Academic Advising and Course Registration will not be part of the Adult and Transfer Student Open House.  Upon admittance to the U of M, adult and transfer students should immediately contact their academic advisors, Academic Counseling Center (adult, first-time freshmen) or the Center for Academic Transition (transfer students) to be advised on course selections.
